Question 1

How soon can a new band perform live?

Accepted Answer

Sooner than most groups expect. A Band In 60 group has one performable song after the first 60-minute adventure, which is enough for a family living room, a class, or a small service. Groups typically build to a short set over a handful of sessions.

Question 2

How do we prepare for a first performance?

Accepted Answer

Run the song end to end several times without stopping for mistakes, set the order of who starts, and practice once in the actual space if you can. The goal of a first performance is finishing together, not playing perfectly.

Question 3

Why does performing early help beginners improve?

Accepted Answer

A deadline and an audience change how a group practices. Players listen harder, commit to their parts, and learn to recover from mistakes mid-song instead of stopping. Band In 60 groups that perform early tend to keep going, because the payoff is visible.
