How It Works

Band In 60 transforms your afterschool program into an exciting music experience where students work together in small bands, build confidence, develop teamwork, and finish with a performance everyone can celebrate. No musical experience is required.

Step 1 – Create Student Bands

Students are divided into smaller bands of 5–10 participants. Each band chooses its own name and identity, creating ownership and excitement from day one.

Step 2 – Everyone Chooses One Role

Each band includes a drummer, keyboard player, guitarist, bass player, and singer or choir. Every student learns one simple part.

Step 3 – Learn Through Guided Lessons

Students follow Band In 60's guided video lessons while staff facilitate the activity. No music teacher is required.

Step 4 – Band Rehearsals

Each band rehearses together, building communication, teamwork, confidence, and leadership.

Step 5 – The Big Performance

Every band performs during a Student Showcase, Battle of the Bands, Talent Night, or End-of-Session Celebration.
